By proclamation of the Tuesday Irregular Players Board of Indirection we will for the night of June 30th 2009 be meeting at the Chinese restaurant,  Canton Village in the same shopping center as Shari's in Livermore. 6:05 pm	A moment I arrived home last night feeling tired. Headed to the bathroom for a shower and I went into the kitchen to cook lunches for the next few days. It was already past 10:00 and 4:30  was getting closer by the minute. While the stove heated up and the dishwater cooled I started another episode of MASH. A few months back I got the complete series on DVD. At one point after I had stirred the rice and vegetables and I sat in my chair for a moment Jen came out with a quizzical look on her face. Which is humorous knowing she had just stepped out of the shower and was in a state of undress. She asked me with more than a little venom in her voice " Do they have their heat on!" Our down stairs neighbors are very old and when they get cold and turn on the heat it seeps through the floor and the walls. As I was turning to respond I herd it. The tink tonk tink of rain.   It is amazing to me how the human mind processes stimuli. How colors smells ,textures and all manner of things illicit such a vast array of actions and reactions. As soon as my mind processed it was raining I felt my entire body relax. I stepped out on to the porch and was washed by the sound of the rain drops coming faster and faster. By the time I sat down on the porch it was pouring out of the sky. Liquid solace. I sat in the dark smelling all of my trees and plant in my garden come to life as the air filled with moisture. 10:59 am	Smile Jen and I won tickets to see Fleetwood Mac in concert. The event was last night and I am still vibrating at the frequency of quartz. I will be making an entry when I has more words that string together and make sense. However I digress. My intention for this post is that tonight at the Livermore Cinema there is an 8:20 pm showing of Star Trek. I know that I am the last living human on planet earth who has yet to see it. However should anyone like to see it again, regardless of the fact I know some of you have already watched it, in some case a half dozen times, I would love the company. 6:31 pm	Monday Dear Loves , So work today was a vast repository of OMGWTF. The employee that had agreed last night to cover a shift for me today called this morning to say they had suddenly caught an 8 hour case of the plague and could not come in after all. Then I proceeded to be beset with some of the best guests I have ever had the privilege to take money from. One told me I was charming and dangerous and tried to give me a substantial tip. I explained that because I am the Manager I cannot accept gratuity. However If the y would like to donate a Tri-Valley Haven Battered Women’s and Children’s Shelter, or to the Soldiers Angels program that I would consider it more than compensation. Not only did she buy a 5lbs bag of coffee for the Soldiers Angels program, she bought a fifty dollar gift card to Tri-Valley haven. That just about made my day. After working alone on my feet for seven hours straight without a break, my training supervisor came on shift and took a call from my afternoon employee who called out sick. With some finagling with San Ramon I got someone to help close tonight and went for a much needed sublime lunch. Right after lunch I here this call over the radio :Katie: “I need Shawn to the Info Station.” :Justin: “I can meet you there I am close by.” :Katie: “No I NEED Shawn.” Katie speaking very fast explained that “she” was in the kids section and “she” was either crazy or high. I walked over to find a woman in the children’s section who had cornered a mousey looking man with books in his arms and was barraging him with nonsensical questions and statements. “Are you a crazy green gadot farmer? GODOT GADOT GADOT Why are you bald silly man that with no I FEET CAN CRAZY. I will touch you fillywick now.” She was clutching a copy of the little prince so hard she was ripping the binding . I walked up and said “Good afternoon can I be of service?” Two and a half hours, three cops, six books, three hundred dollars and two dozen customers later I was sitting in the conference room giving my report to SSgt Bennet of the Pleasanton police department.
