Pictures and words...
"Things don't fall apart. Things hold. Lines connect in thin ways that last and last and lives become generations made out of pictures and words just kept."

|Words still wandering...
Have you ever heard a song, one you have listened to over and over? Then out of the blue, for whatever reason, a line or refrain unexpectedly strikes you like never before. These came from the soundtrack of my walk to work. Some are still ringing in my ears as I type.
“The scars of your love.”
“All the echoes of our ecstasy ring inside me.”
“The day the music died.”
“I wandered through fiction to look for the truth buried beneath all the lies.”
"And in the end, the love we take is equal to the love you make."
“I bet you’d scream and run like hell, I bet you’d slap me in a cell if I let you see inside me. Between the pleasure and the pain I am feeling dangerously sane.”
“These walls have eyes, Rows of photographs, and faces like mine, who do we become, without
knowing where, we started from.”
“Cause there's a monster, living under my bed, whisperin in my ear. There's an angel, with a hand on my head, She say I've got nothing to fear.”
"Words can be broken, so can bones."
“I did my best, it wasn't much, I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch, I've told the truth, I
didn't come to fool you, and even though it all went wrong, I'll stand before the Lord of
Song, with nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah”.
“People are always asking me what my lyrics mean. Well I say what any decent poet would say if you dared ask him to analyze his work: if you see it, darling, then it's there.” Freddie Mercury

|Sweet Dreams Miss James...
I remember the first time I heard Etta James sing. I was 9, on the floor in front of these built in cabinets along the interior north wall of our living room. Our Living room was oriented with them as the focus. Above them were shelves that housed our TV, stereo, and an assortment of family treasures.
In one of the cabinets was my father’s record collection. A random assemblage of rock, country, comedy, and vocal compilations. I used to love to lie on the floor and listen to Bill Cosby, Credence Clear Water Revival, Alabama and dozens of others. One day I pulled one out that had no cover ar,t save for the stylistic title “Soul Love”. I know corny, but it was from the seventies. It had everything from Al Green and Bill Withers, to Miss Etta James.
I still love every song on that Album, deep, poignant songs that speak to hearts young and old. I lay on that deep pile brown shag carpet, staring up at the ceiling, hearing Miss James soft smoky voice whisper wishes into the air I could not begin to understand. Then she would take a pause, draw in a breath, and overwhelm you with the sheer power of her voice.
I have had many teachers and been given many gifts by people I will never meet. Thank you Miss James, for all the emotions you helped me find, and put a voice too.
Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.
Sunday Kind Of Love
I wanna Sunday kind of love
A love to last past Saturday night
And I'd like to know it's more than love at first sight
And I wanna Sunday kind of love, oh yeah yeah
I wanna a love that's on the square
Can't seem to find somebody, someone to care
And I'm on a lonely road that leads to no where
I need a Sunday kind of love
I do my Sunday dreaming, oh yeah
And all my Sunday scheming
Every minute, every hour, every day
Oh, I'm hoping to discover
A certain kind of lover
Who will show me the way
And my arms need someone, someone to enfold
To keep me warm when Mondays and Tuesdays grow cold
Love for all my life to have and to hold
Oh, and I wanna Sunday kind of love, oh yeah yeah yeah
I don't wanna Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday
Or Thursday, Friday or Saturday
Oh, nothing but Sunday, oh yeah yeah
I wanna Sunday, Sunday, I wanna Sunday kind of love, oh yeah
Sunday, Sunday, Sunday kind of love

Now a little about Tuesday. The name Tuesday is derived from the Old English Tiwesdæg and Middle English Tewesday. The Germanic name translates Mars, the god of war, as Teiwaz or in Old English Tiw. This was a corruption of Latin dies Martis, originally relating the day with the planet Mars. Strangely enough the people of Thailand (formerly Siam) also see it as a day of Martian relation. One in every 234,068 Americans is named, Tuesday. Songs named after Tuesday include, Ruby Tuesday by The Rolling Stones, Sweet Tuesday Morning by Bad Finger, and Barely Out of Tuesday by the Counting Crows. This random fact bomb was brought to you by the internets and books.
As for all those T.I.Ps.ters out there, don’t worry today is also T.I.Ps.! That’s right the Second day of the week, or is it the third? Anyway, it’s that day when we gather together round the table. Be sure to keep your eyes on the horizon, straighten up, and fly right. Remember no matter how far you have gone or how long you are absent you are welcome at the table.
"He respects Owl, because you can't help respecting anybody who can spell TUESDAY, even if he doesn't spell it right.”
A. A. Milne

The day the music died.
I walk in silence.
My heart, which is so full to overflowing, has often been solaced and refreshed by music when sick and weary.

You will find the me at the table late tonight as the Office don’t close til 8, fear not for others shall arrive and hold sway before I arrive. Tis the season for gift collecting and dispensing. Bear in mind as you search high and low for that something special for the something specials in your life that often the greatest gifts you have to offer can’t be wrapped and are rarely found in malls, mega shops, or emporiums. We hope to see you this week.

"On mounting a rising ground, which brought the figure of his fellow-traveller in relief against the sky, gigantic in height, and muffled in a cloak, Ichabod was horror-struck on perceiving that he was headless!--but his horror was still more increased on observing that the head, which should have rested on his shoulders, was carried before him on the pommel of his saddle!"
- Washington Irving, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"
